The Annual meeting of Asian Disaster Risk Reduction Network (ADRRN) will be held in Dhaka from 27 to 29 October 2009. As a founding member of ADRRN, Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre (BDPC) is going to host the meeting.
ADRRN is a regional network of 33 member organisations in 13 countries working in the field of disaster risk management: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Mayanmar, Nepal, Srilanka, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia. ADRRN, based in Kualalumpur, initiated 7 years ago, primarily by a few NGOs: ADRC (Japan), BDPC, Mercy Malaysia, N-Set (Nepal), Seeds India, and a few others. The objective of ADRRN is to ensure mutual learning and strengthen relationship between Asian NGOs working in the field of disaster risk management
