 Kutubdia is an Island under the District of Cox’s Bazar. A devastating cyclone heat this sea surrounded Upazila in 1991. Almost 20,000 people died to this disaster. After the disaster, the Government of Bangladesh and various other organizations helped to bring the normal life in the community by providing different types support and cooperation in that area. All types of Government Service Organizations ensured their service according to the Government commitment. But it’s unfortunate that most of the people of Kutubdia are now deprived of those services. The qualities of service that are provided by different organizations are below the standard, especially the service of Health and Family Planning Centers are very disappointing.

To remove these sufferings and to ensure the rights of the people, Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre (BDPC) is implementing RRDPRG Project with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) in Kutubdia. In relation to that, on 03 September, 2012, BDPC organized the Implementation the Opening Ceremony of the Citizen Charter of Kaiyarbil Union Health and Family Planning Center. Around 500 people attended that Opening Ceremony. 

Chowhali is an Upazila located on the bank of Jamuna River under the District of Shirajgonj. Regular flood, river bank erosion are the common problem of this area. The standard of education and health and the service provided by Government Organization is really disappointing in this area due to regular flood and river bank erosion. To remove these sufferings of the people of Chowhali, Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre (BDPC) with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is implementing RRDPRG Project in Chowhali Upazila. As the sequence of that, on 26 September, 2012, BDPC organized the Implementation and the Opening Ceremony of the Citizen Charter of Chowhali Health Complex. Around 400 people attended that Opening Ceremony. 

<b>Hasina Begum</b> 

Most. Hasina Begum is a permanent resident of 04 no. Ward’s Karim Sikder Para of 02 no. South Dhurong Union in Kutubdia Upazila Island under the District of Cox’s Bazar. She is a Change Agent (CA) of Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre (BDPC) in her area and by profession a housewife.

On 04 and 05 April, 2012, BDPC arranged the Information and Service Fair with support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) in Kutubdia. In this fair, Hasina Begum came to know about different service providing organizations, their activities and what services they provide. In that fair, Officers from different organizations gave their commitments of providing services to the people of Kutubdia.

The 03 no. North Channel Union of Sadar Upazila is situated on the bank of river Padma under the District of Faridpur. Regular flood, river bank erosion are the common problem of this area. To remove these sufferings of the people of this area, Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre (BDPC) with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is implementing RRDPRG Project in Sadar Upazila. As the sequence of that, on 16 September, 2012, BDPC organized the Implementation and the Opening Ceremony of the Citizen Charter of Goldangi Union Health and Family Planning Center. Around 300 people attended that Opening Ceremony.
