In 1993, BDPC produced the first definitive handbook on disaster management for Bangladesh. Since then we have worked with numerous NGOs to develop guidebooks and training materials for a range of audiences, from community level volunteers to international disaster management practitioners. Disaster Management Training Curricula (2011)
Partner: Care Bangladesh
Publications: 3 training modules (1 each for Upazila Disaster Management Committees, Union Disaster Management Committees and community volunteers) and an accompanying guidebook for Care staff
Purpose: Building the capacity of Union, Upazila and community Disaster Management Committees for Care's SHOUHARDO program which targets food security in disaster prone regions.

Disaster Management Modules and Flip chartsPartner: World Vision Bangladesh (WVB)
Publications: 3 training modules (1 each for WVB field staff, community volunteers and government officials); 3 flip charts relating to different disasters (floods, riverbank erosion and drought; cyclones and tidal surge; earthquakes, landslides, cold waves and tsunamis) and 1 accompanying handbook for trainers.
Purpose: WVB's Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs sector will be using the package to administer training sessions with local government disaster management committees, community based organizations and community volunteers throughout Bangladesh.
